I think this is the real emo, It sounds much better than the new bands called emo, they really have a good style.

  5. LongviewGD182 Says:

its because people have jumped on the bandwagon and started hating emo without actually knowing what it is.Now that they found out theyr actually embarrassed that they like “gay music”.And they still wanna be the cool guys they were when they were hating it.You got that lol :)

  6. lostandwounded Says:

just perfect. fuck the foo fighters!

  7. shadowturk Says:

    learn the meaning of emo
dont think its funny because you dont know shit about music.
HINT: its not that its emotional

  8. pseudonim84 Says:

I cant believe how weak the song writing is. i expected something decent even if it wasn’t my style. Why so many people mention these guys in the same sentence as bands like Fugazi,Jawbox etc…. this sounds like a bad 15 year old grunge band.

  9. wankass Says:

I agree to an extent, except i fucking love sdre. They sound like a 15 year old grunge band but the songwriting is fine, climb down from your big ole high horse. Its a lot more understated than that of fugazi, jawbox, rites of spring, embrace blah blah blah. They did their own thing like all those other bands did. Surely you can appreciate that?

  10. ImRealAmerican Says:

    Best song ever.

  11. coreyxcorex Says:

    yes it is
emo is ‘emotional hardcore’, thats where it came from.
    ‘emotional’ hardcore

even though hardcore was emotional to begin with.

  12. gdaeeadg Says:

    emo=emotive harcore. SDRE forever.

  13. LatinZero0 Says:

well that used to be the case =/

  14. yurksemesh Says:

Fuck, if only emo had actually stayed good

  15. PapercutVulture16 Says:

I don’t know why but i just love the bass in this song

  16. LongviewGD182 Says:

you could said it any better

  20. shadowturk Says:

really well alot of rock and roll has to do with fashion retard

  21. shadowturk Says:

okay coreyxcorex you highly don’t know shit about music and BMG could use some grammar lessons but anyway. Its all in there song structure. Emotional punk not hardcore you dumb fuck, is basically a band that uses many breakdowns which leaves your feeling depressed or emotional. They implemented this style into there music. Making a genre of music is more than lyrics, i can sing about lollipops with metal music and it wouldn’t be called lollipop metal.

  22. BMGStammer Says:

First of all, I made a typographical error (I was an English major in College, Asshole) Second of all
coreyxcorex IS right, emocore or Emotional/Emotive Hardcore originated from a HARDCORE punk band called Rites of Spring. The former band played what they considered hardcore punk, just with more personal lyrics as compared to the other hardcore punks bands around that time. (Black Flag, Minor Threat) Through out the years, the music has evolved. I suggest you look you the history of the genre .

  23. kiduallno Says:

so this is emo music? not wut i expected, buh watever

  24. avrilbabe360 Says:

why are we having a conversation about whether this is emo or not? all music is emotional. i think this is a case of over-analyzing things. you’ll just get lost in yourself trying to explain your view to someone who holds the opposite opinion to you. this is a kick ass song, lets leave it at that. shall we?

  25. shadowturk Says:

Your right to an extent but your talking about to different areas and not in the same time frame if we are still talking about SDRE & other emo bands of the era. Rites of spring is a hardcore emo band but way earlier and nothing close to late 90s emo which is branched off of grunge. The music is way different and it still has nothing to do with lyrics like emocore would have to offer. I respect peoples opinions more if they know how to write NO OFFENSE about before.
